Nissan Micra is a mid segment small hatchback car from Nissan Motor India. The car would be launched with both petrol and diesel options. It is a five seater car with various advanced security and comfort features. The car would be launched soon in India.
Appearance: The front side of the car consists of strong grille and broad headlamps along with Tinted Head lamp covers. Sporty bumpers and Alloy wheels give the car a sturdy look. Body colored door mirrors add to the elegance.

Engine: The Petrol Variant is powered by 1.2 L, 1240 cc engine with MPFI fuel injection system which produces 80 PS power at 5200 rpm with 110 Nm torque at 3600 rpm. There might be another engine also, which would be 1.4 L, 1386 cc petrol engine with MPFI fuel injection system which can produce 88 PS power at 5200 rpm and a torque of 128 Nm at 3200 rpm. Both engines would be available with automatic transmission gearbox.
The Diesel Variant would be powered by 1.5 L, 1461 cc, CRDI diesel engine with five speed manual transmission gear box that churns 86 PS of power at 3750 rpm with 200 Nm torque at 1900 rpm.
Price: Nissan Micra is priced at Rs. 4,00,000. The price specified is taking Mumbai as base price location. It is an approximate price which excludes tax, registration, insurance and cost of accessories.

Nissan Soon Comes With Its Fuel Efficient Car Nissan Pixo

The car manufacturing company Nissan soon comes with its environment friendly, fuel efficient car Nissan Pixo. This car Pixo powered by next generation K series engine of the Maruti Suzuki A-Star will generate a power output of 66 bhp, but still there is no breakthrough agreement between Suzuki Motor Corporation and Nissan Motor Company.

It was reported earlier that Nissan has contract manufactured the aforesaid model (nearly 50,000 units) to Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), Suzuki’s Indian arm. Maruti, at the time of A-Star’s launch in November last year, had said that it expected to finalise orders from Nissan by early 2009 but has failed to secure one till April 2009.

Nissan Pixo is a five-door, four-seater car with a 1.0-litre fuel efficient engine that expels low carbon dioxide emission.It offers roomy interiors and generous luggage space. The car also houses the best safety features like anti-lock brakes, dual front airbags, and keyless entry. The Nissan Pixo with the best of engineering and packaging, will soon enter the Indian car market.

However, it may be possible that due to recession fears, Nissan have to cut its orders from Maruti. But, the expected launch date is July 2010, and comes with the estimated price of Rs 5 lakh (approx)

Nissan Will Launch Nine Car Models in India by 2012

Nissan will launch there nine models very soon in India. Nissan plans to launch series of car models as Nissan Motors India managing director and CEO Kiminobu Tokuyama said the company will have nine car models in India by 2012, five made in India and the remaining to be imported from Japan.

As Nissan have already some models in India, Mr Tokuyama explained they already have three of the four cars that will comprise the CBU import line up. These are the Teana sedan, the X Trail sports utility vehicle and the sports car 370Z.

The five made-in-India cars will comprise the compact hatchback, which will be launched from the Chennai plant in May, followed by its sedan version next year and three models based on V, Nissan’s new global compact car platform.

Nissan Micra Next Generation Small Car

Nissan’s new car Micra, global compact car or the next generation small car which goes on sale in mid-2010,Nissan has officially unveiled its sketches of the its new Micra car. India will be the global production base for the new Micra which will be manufactured in Nissan India’s Chennai plant from May 2010 and exported to 150 countries.
The new Micra is expected with both diesel and petrol engine options. According to Nissan and industry sources a lightweight and highly fuel-efficient 1.2 litre, three-cylinder petrol motor that promises class-leading fuel efficiency will make its debut in the Micra. Diesel power will be supplied by the familiar Renault 1.5 (K9) 65bhp motor that powers the Logan,for the Micra there is likely to be an increase in power.

The new Micra will compete head-on with the class-leading Maruti Swift and hence Nissan is keen to price its new hatchback competitively to gain market share. A sub Rs 4-lakh price is expected for the base model.
A saloon version of the Micra is also expected in the future and is expected to compete directly with the Swift Dzire.

Nissan’s marketing arm, Hover Automotive International is in the process of setting up new dealerships all over the country in preparation for the Micra.

Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, Managing Director and CEO, Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) said, “It is a proud moment for us today as we reveal the first sketch of our global compact car. We are confident that the car which will be manufactured locally in Chennai will delight the discerning Indian customers. We are serious and committed in our plans for India and are all excited as we gear up for the start of production in May 2010.”
