Chevrolet Camaro is the latest car to be launched by Chevrolet in India. The car enthusiasts across India are waiting with bated breath to see this car. The media hype is already there and the car has caught the attention of all the style loving car enthusiasts.

Chevrolet Camaro is available in 10 beautiful colours namely Black, Inferno Orange Metallic, Rally Yellow, Synergy Green, Victory Red, Cyber Grey Metallic, Red Jewel Tincoat, Imperial Blue Metallic, Summit White and Silver Ice Metallic. The front of the car bears deep inset eyes shaped high intensity discharging headlamps with glowing LED halo rings in the available RS Package (LT and SS versions). The long hood and short rear deck gives the car a sleek look. The sculpted rear shoulders give a special look to the car. The front grille is unique designed with a bold V shape. The two door car presents a very compact look.

Chevrolet Camaro has a wealth of comfort features for the occupants. The car has adjustable head restraints and rear seat trunk pass-through. It also comes with driver four way manual with power recliner and driver six way power with power recliner heated. The car is fitted with Head Up Display (HUD) which is standard on 2 LT and 2 SS. The HUD also shows the speed, rpm and more. This exciting technology will also come with XM Radio 2 which would be standard with a three month trial which will show what station one is listening to. An auxiliary audio input jack for MP3 player is also standard to all the versions of the car.

Chevrolet Camaro has a host of safety features. The car uses new technology called “On Star” to help the driver to avoid the accidents. It is expected to come with Automatic Crash Response standard for the first six months. The car is also fitted with six air bags, StabiliTrack Electronic Stability Control System with Traction Control. The 4 – wheel antilock brakes provide extra safety. The Chevrolet Camaro LS and LT are loaded with 3.6 L V6 with Direct Injection and Variable Valve Timing. The strong engine is designed to produce a maximum power of 312 horse power at 6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 278 lb-ft at 5100 rpm.

Chevrolet Camaro SS is powered with 6.2 L V8 with Active Fuel Management engine which produces a maximum power of 426 horse power at 5900 rpm and a maximum torque of 278 lb-ft at 5100 rpm.

Fiat Linea T-Jet will be launched in Mumbai on 8th October 2010

Festive season has started in India, nice opportunity for automobile sector to cash in and right time to launch a new car. And here is the new car Fiat Linea T-Jet. Fiat has decided to launch the car in October 2010. During this time Fiat would be able to launch new finance schemes and boost the sale.

The car was first showcased in Auto Expo in Delhi on January 2010 and the launch was scheduled in August 2010. But due to some unknown reasons the launch was postponed and now the launch is scheduled for next month.

The car has already caught the attention of many car enthusiasts in India and they are eagerly waiting for its launch. Moreover, it is official now….Fiat will be launching Linea T-Jet in Mumbai on 8th October 2010. The company has already started the production of the cars so that the cars could be delivered to the dealers before launch. Moreover, Fiat has decided to take the bookings in a phased manner. Starting from Mumbai and Pune, the bookings would be later taken from other metros like Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata etc.

Encouraged by the success of Grade Punto, Fiat India has decided to launch Fiat Linea T-Jet. The car is priced around Rs.8.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Turbo charged petrol engine, maximum power of 120 PS at 5000 rpm, Hill holder function, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers, reverse parking sensor and many more features……..what else does one expect? Volkswagen Vento is a new model Sedan, which would be launched very shortly in India by Volkswagen Group. It has been designed specially for the Indian market and has been tailored for Indian consumers. The company will produce this car at Volkswagen’s new factory at Chakan near Pune. The company is expected to sell around 25000 units every year. Volkswagen Vento is expected to be on roads in the later half of 2010.

Maruti Suzuki India and Japanese car maker Suzuki are planning to launch a new car Maruti Kizashi, in India. Maruti Kizashi, a D segment sports sedan, will hit Indian roads very soon. Various features of the car are as described below:

Appearance: The front side of the car comprises of upper and lower grille fitted in a “U” shape design. Maruti Suzuki is fitted with broad headlamps, rectangular fog lamp and tail light cluster. Twin exhaust pipes at the rear side provide an elegant and sturdy look to the car. The broad alloy wheels enhance the sporty look of the car.

Comfort: Maruti Suzuki is an ultra spacious car and has sufficient headroom and legroom inside. The car has adjustable seats. The driver’s seat is 10 way adjustable with 3 position memory. Shown at the Geneva motor show. Alfa seems to be reviewing the old 147 with the name Giulietta. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta is a mix of steel and aluminium design it borrows cues from the 8C supercar. The Giulietta is to have 5 doors, it has sweptback headlights and narrow glasshouse. The rear handles are hidden in C-pillar, just like the old 147’s, to give a coupé feel. The sports car feel continues inside with red-lit instruments grouped into two hooded binnacles and a wide expanse of dashboard with modern-style toggle switches. Designwise the Alfa Giulietta is longer and lower than Volkwagen Golf, the interior of the car is spacious. It promises fine blend of ride and smooth handling. Given recent form, the odds are against it, but the fact that there’s a new multi-link suspension set-up under the rear end should help, and toggling Alfa’s DNA selector (standard on every model) will select different characteristics for the steering, throttle response, optional Q2 electronic differential and stability control system.

Certainly the engines will give Volkswagen something to think about. There are four, all turbocharged and all fitted with start-stop systems to cut consumption and emissions. On the petrol side there’s a 118bhp 1.4TB and a 168bhp Multiair that uses Fiat’s clever valve train technology; on the diesel, a pair of second generation JTDM common rail motors: a 1.6 with 104bhp and a 2.0 with 168bhp.

Coming later is a Quadrifoglio Verde (remember the green cloverleaf badge?): the 1750 Tbi petrol hot hatch with 232bhp. Sounds interesting.

The car manufacturing company Nissan soon comes with its environment friendly, fuel efficient car Nissan Pixo. This car Pixo powered by next generation K series engine of the Maruti Suzuki A-Star will generate a power output of 66 bhp, but still there is no breakthrough agreement between Suzuki Motor Corporation and Nissan Motor Company.

It was reported earlier that Nissan has contract manufactured the aforesaid model (nearly 50,000 units) to Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), Suzuki’s Indian arm. Maruti, at the time of A-Star’s launch in November last year, had said that it expected to finalise orders from Nissan by early 2009 but has failed to secure one till April 2009.

Nissan Pixo is a five-door, four-seater car with a 1.0-litre fuel efficient engine that expels low carbon dioxide emission.It offers roomy interiors and generous luggage space. The car also houses the best safety features like anti-lock brakes, dual front airbags, and keyless entry. The Nissan Pixo with the best of engineering and packaging, will soon enter the Indian car market.

However, it may be possible that due to recession fears, Nissan have to cut its orders from Maruti. But, the expected launch date is July 2010, and comes with the estimated price of Rs 5 lakh (approx)

Fiat set to launch 1.6-liter Linea in July August 2010

Fiat India which has failed to make a mark in the recent years is yet again thinking of making a comeback, the company has recently planned to release Linea 1.4 TJet and Punto sports car in July August 2010. Ravi Bhatia, vice president – Commercial for Fiat India said, “We have been getting a lot of requests from consumers asking for the Linea 1.4. Keeping that demand in mind, we will be launching the same in July. We would also be introducing Punto Sports sometime that period although work is still on the same and so any exact timeline is difficult.” The Punto Sports is expected to be in the range of Rs 7 – 7.5lakhs but as another Fiat official says no valuation can be attributed right now.

Fiat India officials recently had said that they would be introducing variants of its successful models like Punto and Linea all through the year. “The reiterating fact that the ‘haunt’ Indian consumers had on buying Fiat cars is no longer present with localisation coming in and more service centres being opened across India,” said Bhatia.

On any new products to be launched, he said that this year will see more or less only variant launches but the company is working on new products though nothing can be revealed at this point of time.

Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch its small car "Cervo" in competition to the Tata Nano and the upcoming low-priced cars from Hyundai and Nissan.
