Skoda Yeti, an SUV, mid size segment car, is expected to be launched soon by Skoda Auto India. The car has a potential of cult following and is expected to create a stir in the car market.
Appearance: Skoda Yeti is highly agile, compact and attractively stylish. The front consists of a strong grille surrounded by four stylish headlamps. The rear is adorned with sleek tail lamps. The car is available in both steel and alloy wheels. The broad tubeless tyres and wheels give a sporty and aggressive look to the car.
Comfort: The car has sufficient roomy and spacious interior. Skoda Yeti is fitted with bottle holders in the front door. The centre console consists of drink holder, a storage compartment and a pen holder. The car also has a sunglass compartment in the roof panel sunny bag removable sack and foldable tray in the rear seat back rest. Skoda Yeti is packed with hitech integrated audio system, powerful climate control dual air conditioning system with HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and AC) with air quality sensor and electronically controlled dual zone climate control air conditioning automatic switches to internal circulation.
Engine: The car is available in two variants. The first variant would be powered by 2.0 L, Turbo charged diesel engine with 5-speed manual transmission gearbox producing a displacement of 1968 cc and churns a power of 110 PS at 4200 rpm and a torque of 250 Nm at 1500- 2500 rpm.
The second variant is also powered by 2.0 L, 1968 cc, Turbo charged diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission gearbox and with advanced Haldex clutch. The engine produces a power of 170 PS at 4200 rpm and a torque of 350 Nm at 1750-2500 rpm.
Safety: Skoda Yeti has various safety features like Central Locking, Child Locks, Immobilizer with Theft Deterrent System, High Rigidity frame, LSPV (Load Sensing Proportion Valve). The car is fitted with Anti Submarine and ISOFIX seats, Collapsible Steering Wheel Column and Front Disk Brakes. The car has an advanced feature of Automatic Function of Brake lights. Some other safety features include ABS (Antilock Brake System) along with Electronic Stability System (ESP, EDS, AFM, HBA DSR, MSR, EBV, ESBS and ASR) to prevent unexpected collisions. Skoda Yeti has Nine Airbags that include Dual Front SRS Airbags, Side, Knee and Rear Side Airbags.
Price: The price of Skoda Yeti is expected to be Rs.12,00,000 (taking Mumbai as base price location). The price specified is only approximate price which excludes tax, registration, insurance and cost of accessories.
