Bajaj Platina 125cc Review New Platina DTS-Si Price

The Bajaj Platina 100cc was first released in 2006 on the CT-100 engine. It was an entry level bike. The Bajaj Platina was for those bike lovers who could not afford Pulsar and was the cheapest bike in its segment. Giving tough competition to rival bikes like Splendor. The Bajaj Platina 125 cc is being launched on the streets after decent success of the 100cc version. The new Bajaj Platina has a 125cc DTS-Si Engine, which comes with a 4 stroke air cooled engine and a 4 speed gearbox. It can generate upto 9.53 PS power at 7000rpm. and 10.85 torque at 5000rpm. Bajaj’s very own patent DTS-Si engine allows minimum fuel consumption giving a mileage of about 109 Kms per litre.

Looks and design Platina 125cc

The New Platina 125 looks nearly same as the old Platina 125. The New Platina 125 now comes in a premium black shade matte finish alloy wheels, clear lens headlamp, matt finished black silencer with chrome finish foot rest, sporty instrument console, new color combination for graphics and decals, graphite tinted engine with transmission and chrome streaked side panels. With the exhaus-TEC engine it is bound to perform well like the XCD 125 DTS-Si.

Engine of Platina 125

The New Bajaj Platina 125 comes with minor changes in design as well as a modified powertrain unit, including the changed graphics. The engine of New platina 125 develops maximum power of 8.5 Bhp of maxiumum power at 7000 rpm with maximum torque of 10Nm at 4000 rpm. The earlier platina 125 generated maxium power of 9.5 Bhp with 10.85 Nm of torque.

New Platina 125cc comes with 5-speed gearbox in opposed to 4 speed gearbox of previous one. It has telescopic front suspension with travel of 125 mm and the world’s first SNS (Spring-N-Spring) rear suspension with the longest travel in its class of 100mm. As a result the ride quality on the Platina is plush and perfectly sorted. The engine has a ride control switch to facilitate the biker to identify the optimum throttle opening to get the top mileage.
