Tata Motors India has launched its most expensive car from its stable – Tata Aria. Tata Aria is a 7 seater, Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) and is equipped with all the latest features. It is counted amongst the most successful Crossovers in India.
Tata Aria comes in 8 beautiful colours namely: Night Shade Black, Surf Blue, Pearl White, Quartz Black, Sardinia Red, Walnut Gold, Arctic Silver and Castelle Grey. The car has a very classy appearance. The upper front grille is wide and sleek. The front turn indicators are placed at automatically adjustable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors). The front consists of vertically stacked dual barrel front headlamps with darkness sensing, bright fog lamps and horizontal slats chrome grille with company logo. Wheel arches bumpers and rub rails are body coloured. The windows have chrome waistline. The car also has rain sensing wipers. The large five spoke 17 inch alloy wheels with big wheel arches provide a very sturdy look to the car. The large dual elliptical exhausts, high mounted vertically stacked tail lamps, rear wiper are eye catching.
Tata Aria has various comfort features. The car has three rows seating arrangement and has sufficient legroom and headroom for the occupants. The car is ultra spacious and has sufficient storage space behind the third row. Handle bars are fitted at both ends for firm sitting and comfort. The driver seat is 6 way adjustable including height adjustment and head restraint. Seat belts are also height adjustable. The car is equipped with GPS Navigation system, 2 DIN integrated music system with 6 speakers which plays CD and MP3, USB port, AUX input jack, Bluetooth and speed sensing volume controlling device. Tata Aria has dual AC with automatic climate control system.
Tata Aria has a variety of safety features. The car has six airbags (driver, front passenger, side and curtain airbags), ABS with ESP (Electronic Safety Programme) also ensure enhanced safety. Other safety features include Traction Control System (TCS), Cruise Control and Standard Controls.
The car has seat belts for all the passengers, Reverse guide system and fog lamps. Tata Aria has excellent braking system. The front brakes are Twin Port Calliper ventilated type while the rear one are Disc type. Efficient braking system with ESP and standard ground clearance ensure error free driving.
Tata Aria is equipped with 2.2L, 2179 cc, 4 cylinder, Direct injection Common Rail (DICOR) engine with dual mass flywheel. The engine generates a maximum power of 140 PS at 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 320 Nm at 1700-2700 rpm. The higher level of power and torque result in excellent acceleration.
