Other comfort features include Pass-Light, Low Fuel Indicator, Low Oil Indicator and a Low Battery Indicator. The riding position is very comfortable.

Yamaha MT 01 has many advanced safety features. It has Dual discs, 310 mm brakes and Single disc, 237 mm (Rear) brakes. The bike is fitted with Stand Alarm. Yamaha MT 01 has Telescopic Fork (Front) suspension and Swingarm (link suspension) (Rear) Suspension. Yamaha MT 01  uses Ohlins front and rear suspension. The Ohlins rear shock absorber features a separate reservoir which ensures consistent damping performance. The new rear suspension offers safety, stability and road holding.

Yamaha MT 01 has hi-tech, 1670 cc, DOHC, 16 valves, V-Twin, liquid cooled engine. It produces a maximum power of 90 PS at 4750 rpm and a maximum torque of 150.3 Nm at 3750 rpm. The bike is completely dominated by the engine.
