The “Swift One Million Edition” shall be available in specially created “Goldsmith Black” Shade and will have great graphics, special integrated stereo with USB, luxurious leather seats, cushions, foot mats. Also it will have artistic decor on the exteriors.
Fiat is all set to launch the new Fiat Linea 1.4 litre. The new T-Jet variant comes with a 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol engine which generates 118bhp. The T-Jet will be the only car in its category to sport a turbo charged petrol engine and will take on segment leader, Honda city. The new 1.4 litre motor will be coupled along with a w five speed manual transmission. This motor is said to have a good amount of low end torque which gives better mileage and fuel efficiency.
Classification will be held in three cases. The new Maruti Swift with the K series engine promises to give better mileage. The company with its latest version of Swift Petrol and Swift Dzire petrol with a 1.2 litre engine which complies with the BS IV norms. The K series performance engine was earlier seen in the Suzuki Ritz. The Swift engine gives a power output of about 84 bhp and 11.5 kgm of max torque, which will give better transmission thus enhancing overall performance. (Earlier 1.3 liter petrol produced 87 bhp and 11.3 kgm of torque).
After the Tata Nano other car companies too have set there minds to bring small low budget cars in India, pricing less than 2 Lakhs. Having no competitors so far Tata Nano leads the competition. The cars expected in this series are Hyundai’s new 800cc car, a low cost car from Nissan Renault Bajaj joint venture. Apaart from these some big names like US based General Motors and France based Fiat are also in the league to launch there cars in this low cost segment.
Tata is all set to takeover the second big car company in India, Hyundai. The sales of Tata Motors went up by 63.2 per cent in June, with the company selling 27,811 units compared with 17,039 in the same month last year. Hyundai too was doing good with its sales of i10 and i20 cars, the sales grew by 18.9 per cent, selling 27,366 units.
